Chantry House, with its main elevation to South Eaton Place, offers superb formal reception rooms, a magnificent sweeping central staircase leading to extensive bedroom accommodation and staff quarters, in all extending to 4,650 sq.ft. (431.98 sq.m)

The house was virtually rebuilt in 1986.  It has been updated and maintained to a high standard.

Possibilities For Upgrading.

If desired, it is believed that it would be possible to install a lift, without too much disruption, as, according to the history report, Chantry House did have a lift at one time: the current layout does appear to confirm this history and would allow the relatively easy re-installation of a lift. This history would also ease the ability to get the necessary consents. In addition, when the house was virtually rebuilt in the 1980s, it appears that the builders allowed for the possibility of air conditioning, as there are larger void spaces behind many walls, that run through all floors.

Chantry House qualifies for use of Belgrave Square gardens.  Also, the house diagonally opposite Chantry House has a roof terrace on the main roof, so it is believed that would set a precedent if a main roof terrace or garden were to be required at Chantry House, in addition to the smaller existing roof terrace.
